Unknown before their one hit wonder, the Chopstick Brothers (Wang Taili and Xiao Yang aren't real brothers) are now nationwide celebrities in China. One can barely cross the street without hearing the tune to Xiao Pingguo, or Little Apple, blaring from a shop's speakers or out of a boombox by a group of dancing grandmas. Hoping to advertise for their then upcoming movie, the duo put together this catchy song which became a sensation practically over night. It has over 11 million views on Youku (China's version of YouTube) and will surely have you randomly humming it at the office and get you weird stares from the boss. However, It's low artistic value and outdated musical elements have kept it from garnering international fame like that of Psy's "Gangnam Style". But It could also be said that those qualities are what gives it a childlike charm. Watch the video below and decide for yourself.
Video Description: Unhappy with his girlfriend's look, she decides to try plastic surgery which ends horribly (ie turns her into one of the Chopstick Brothers). The subsequent scenes show Adam & Eve, a mermaid, children and other wackiness.
